Just 3 days after the tragic earthquake hit our soon to be home of Japan, my facebook status read “Part of me is thankful that we haven’t yet moved to Japan, and part of me is sad that we can’t be there now. We would have been in a safe part of Japan (inland)…and now could be there helping those that need it most. New possible mission for 2011: teach English in Japan, while helping to restore Japan!”
We may still move to Japan to help them out, however we haven’t put it into stone. Like I said in a previous post, I have a back ground in Interior Design and have a passion for construction and architecture. I feel that I could make a big difference in Japan by helping to restore it, teach English, and hand out hugs! The only thing that would keep us from deciding to go to Japan is the radiation, and better opportunities in Indonesia or any SE Asian Island. If our dreams could go as planned, we would really like to start a business in Indonesia so we could gain a second citizenship. We would also like to look into adopting while we are overseas. We honestly have no idea what we are going to do once we get over there; we are truly vagabonding and will travel where the wind blows us. At least there are opportunities, options and dreams to come true!
