Travel can be rewarding and grueling at times. There have been moments among traveling, that we…well, quite literally just travel.
We journey. We tour. We go. We voyage. We peregrinate. We make trip. We move and groove.
Here is what 10 days of traveling can look like…
Day 3: Visit “Ye Old Curiosity Shop” where Chais finds out his Love Meter is “Burning” (Seattle, Wa)
…whew, day 4 was busy!
Day 5: Fail to take pictures of us all on an international flight.
Day 7: Become incapable of taking photos. Pass out on the airport floor from shear exhaustion (Taipei International Airport).
Note: Our Airfare was rather cheap ($2404.12 total or $601.03 per person) and that’s for a reason – we traveled for 48 hours. I think it’s best to just spend a bit more money next time for fewer hours delayed!
Day 8: Commemorate being back in Thailand by consuming my favorite flavored Chips, “Nori Seaweed Lays” and a “Leo” beer! (Bangkok, Thailand – Airport)
Day 8: Try to beat jet lag, and fight the urge to go to bed at 3pm by cutting my lawn…with a pair of shears. (Chiang Mai, Thailand – my rental property)
Day 9: Decide to tackle the other side of lawn. Give up 1/2 way and beg Chais to buy me a $30 weed-eater to finish the job. (Chiang Mai, Thailand – my rental property)
The End!

It’s fun to see pix! How many checked bags did you each take with you? When you had your layover in Taiwan on Day 6 did they have to accompany you on your romping around?
shawnameyer
We did have three checked bags between the four of us. Chais and I brought some essentials back with us that are hard to find in Thailand: sheets, Non-whitening lotion (I brought back 5 bottles), chilli soup seasoning, size 9 women shoes, size 12 men’s shoes, towels, etc. We didn’t have any trouble with the baggage. They kept it checked, we put our carry-on luggage in lockers at the Taipei train station. They did not have to accompany us on our romping. They did take possession of our outgoing plane tickets…so we “checked-out”, then we got a free 30 day visa that we just used for a few hours, checked in after our romping…and all was good! It was super easy and stress free. I’m actually surprised that none of our luggage was lost!
